Edwin Thomas Houser, Sr. “Bud”, Boaz, KY
Bud Houser, 84, of Boaz died at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at his home. Bud was a long time member of Houser Grove Church of Christ. He was a veteran of U.S. Army and a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars. Bud was a retired electrician, working out of the IBEW Local 816. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, University of Kentucky Basketball and watching St. Louis Cardinal Baseball. Bud enjoyed his children as well as his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and enjoyed having family around.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mary Imogene Hobbs Houser; two daughters, Kathy Jett (Roger) of Boaz, KY, Karen Futrell (Mike) of Paducah, KY; two sons, Tom Houser (Glenda) of Paducah, KY and Tony Houser (Angie) of Lone Oak, KY; two brothers, Cletus Houser and Jerry Houser(Brenda) both of Boaz, KY; eight grand-children, Matthew Houser(Amberly), Michelle Bundren (Tim), Jeremy Jett (Lindsey), Justin Jett (Kayla), Chad Futrell (Jennye), Chance Futrell (Kirstin), Noah Houser and Nevan Houser, twelve great-grandchildren, Sarah Kate Houser, Wilton Houser, Hadley Houser, Griff Bundren, Gentry Bundren, Greer Bundren, Trey Jett, Callie Jett, Azlee Jett, Payton Jett, Jack Futrell and Nolan Futrell; several neices and nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Jerry Pullen officiating. Burial will follow at the Houser Grove Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
