Hall, Joyce

Joyce Faye Hall, 82, of Montgomery, AL, formerly of Paducah went to be with the Lord at 6:44 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016. Joyce passed of renal failure in the comfort of her home while holding the hands of her family.

 

She is survived by three children, Brenda Basnight (Allan) of Montgomery, Kenneth Hall of Paducah, Cindy Anderson (Thomas) of Nashville; six grandchildren, James Littlejohn of Davenport, AL, Carri Carpenter of Montgomery, Daniel Hall II of Paducah, Brad Hall of Paducah, Scott Hall of Paducah, Kelsie Anderson of Nashville; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Albert Wainscott of McKenzie, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
           

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Hall; her parents, Clarance Wainscott and Georgia (Lawrence) Wainscott; and two brothers, James Wainscott and Charles Wainscott


Joyce, lovingly known as “Mamaw” by all of her family, was an active, energetic, and loving woman who enjoyed tennis, sunset boat rides, and family vacations. She and her husband “Dan the Backhoe Man” ran a business in Paducah for many years. She was formerly a member of First Baptist Church in Paducah; and more recently attended Thorrington Road Baptist Church in Montgomery.
           

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home across from WKCTC with Rev. Tommy Tucker officiating. A brief graveside service will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery in Lone Oak.


In lieu of flowers, it was Joyce’s wish that donations be made in her honor to Camp WheezeAway, a summer camp for children with asthma where she attended and had become very active during the last five years. Camp WheezeAway, P.O. Box 2336, Montgomery, AL 36102.
