Steven Perry Barnette, age 51, of Paducah, passed away at his residence on Sunday, July 24, 2016, 5:22 am.
He was a member of Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church, a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School, and was employed as a cook at Sonic Drive-In.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Pirtle Barnette of Paducah; mother, Cecelia M. Barnette, Paducah; a daughter, Stepanie Renee Barnette of Paducah; nine grandchildren; one brother, Cecil Jabbar Barnette of Lexington; three step-daughters, Katoya Parram of Jackson, TN, Tanesha Pirtle of Paducah and Paulette Thomas of Clinton; one step-son, Willie Pirtle of Paducah; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Reverend Cecil J. Barnette; one grandson, Donnavon Pirtle; two sisters, Tanya R. Barnette and Marina Stegar; maternal grandparents, Willard and Bernice Wilson; paternal-grandparents, James and Fannie Barnette.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 29, 2016, 12:00 Noon at Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Alfred Anderson and Reverend James L. Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Friends may also call at the church on Friday from 11:00 am until the funeral hour.
