Buford R. Thorn, 66, of Paducah died on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Mr. Thorn was a retired chief engineer for several tow boat companies.
Surviving is one daughter, Rhonda Babb of Paducah; three brothers, James Thorn of Mt. Carmel, IL, Henry Brokaw of Paducah, Raymond Thorn of Paducah; one sister, Mary Brokaw of Florida; and one granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Kay Thorn; and his parents, James Thorn and Idabelle Newton.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in the chapel at Maplelawn Park Cemetery with burial to follow.
