Ester Lee Abraham Scott, 86, of Paducah, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016, 10:40 a.m., at McCracken Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Paducah.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mother’s Board and was a member of both the Culinary Committee and the Sisterhood. She was formerly employed as a presser with the One Hour Martinizing Cleaners.
She is survived by one son, Richard Abraham, Jr. of Paducah; one daughter, Margaret Brewer of Paducah; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; two sisters, Annie B. Callier of Warren, MI and Christine Benson of Byhalia, MS; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Littie Ingram Thompson; her first husband, Richard Abraham, Sr.; her second husband, John Scott; one grandson; two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, September 4, 2016, 5:00 p.m., at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Wade and Reverend Marvin Brooks officiating.
Friends may also call at the church on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
