Medlin, William "Bill" Harold

William “Bill” Harold Medlin, age 65, of Paducah, passed away at 11:24 p.m. on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Baptist Health Paducah after fighting a long battle with cancer.

Bill was a 1969 graduate of Ballard Memorial High School, attended Paducah Community College, and was in the Army Reserve.  Bill was a member of First Baptist Church of Paducah, he was employed for 16 yrs. as a Materials Supervisor for ICG Railroad, he then retired from Triangle Insulation after 25 yrs. as Project Manager.

 

After retiring in 2012, Bill was able to focus his time on his real estate investments and property management including, owning and operating Take Two Consignment Store.  He was also an avid UK fan with a large collection of UK memorabilia.

 

Bill is survived by his wife of 40 yrs., Jana Kim Hillman Medlin; a daughter, Kimberlyn Medlin Vinson and husband David of Paducah, two sons, Ryan Medlin of Paducah, Kyle Medlin and fiancé Niccole and her children Lachlan and Ellery of Louisville; four grandchildren, Matthew Medlin, Shelby Medlin, Jakson Vinson and Dallas Vinson all of Paducah; his mother, Lola Mae Pool Medlin of Kevil; father in law, Charles “Chuck” Hillman of Paducah; sister, Rita Medlin Roberts of Collierville, TN; an aunt, Janice Barrow of Kevil; niece, Brittney Roberts of Cordova, TN; nephew, Samuel Roberts and wife, Sarah of Asheville, NC; several cousins including Mark Medlin and wife Shelley of Kevil.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold “Pete” Edward Medlin.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Chaplain Mark Buchanan and Rev. Charles Moore officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2015  at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah, and from 11:00 a.m. until service time of 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
