David Edward McIntosh, 73, of Paducah, KY, passed away at 12:09 p.m., on Friday, September 30, 2016, at Baptist Health Paducah. He was born in the Shady Grove community of McCracken Co., KY on December 28, 1942 to Ed and Mamie Waldrop McIntosh. David attended Reidland High School, he retired from Illinois Central Gulf Railroad as a welder and had previously worked at Marine Ways of Paducah.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Spees McIntosh, one daughter Teresa Moore of Centreville, VA, two grandchildren Alex Moore and Kathryn Moore both of Centreville, VA., three sisters, Catherine Davis of West Paducah, KY, Flora Mae Clerkin of Clarksville, TN and Joetta Stevenson of Benton, KY; and one brother Wendell McIntosh and wife Connie of Paducah, KY; several nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, J.C. McIntosh and Paul McIntosh.
There will be a graveside service at Oakland Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Marshall County, KY (Sharpe community) on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Greenwell and Rev. Jim Glover officiating. There will be no visitation.
