Mr. Thomas J. Franklin, age 82, of Murray, Kentucky died at 10:05pm Sunday, December 11, 2016 at his residence.
He was born April 18, 1934 in Ravenna, Kentucky to the late Daniel Orville Franklin and Frances Mize Franklin. He was a retired school teacher and principal and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Webb Memorial Methodist Church and attended the First Baptist Church of Murray.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Wisehart Franklin; son, Thomas W. Franklin (Amy L.), Murray; daughters, Martha R. Morefield (Richard D.), Murray, Julia M. Franklin, Murray, and Clara M. Gal (George N.), Murray; brother, Dan Mize Franklin (Terrie), League City, TX; sister-in-law, Martha Hernandez (Jesse), Shawnee, OK; and seven granddaughters, two grandsons.
The funeral service will be at 11:00am Thursday at the Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home with burial in the Murray City Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 5:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
