Danny Lee Owens, 77, of Bardwell, KY, passed away at 1:55 am on Monday, February 20, 2017 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
Danny was of the Baptist Faith, a member of the Shriners and a member of Masonic Lodge #449. He worked at Water Front Services in Cairo, IL. Mr. Owens was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Teressa Robinett Owens of Bardwell, KY; one daughter, Robin Shumway of Coldwater, MS; two sons, Daniel Owens of Bardwell, KY, James Owens of Burkley, KY; one sister, Sue Rutherford of Memphis, TN; two brothers, Steve Owens of Macks Creek, MO, Gary Owens of Bardwell, KY; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie James and Opal Denton Owens; one sister; and two brothers.
Graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Roselawn Cemetery in Bardwell, KY with Rev. Rodney Bice officiating.
There will be no public visitation.
