Lucy Leah Lawrence, 67, of Paducah, died Friday, April 14, 2017 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Lucy was born in Virginia Beach, VA on September 17, 1949 to Harold J. Lawrence and Ruby Lee (Burleson) Lawrence. She was a 1967 graduate of Lone Oak High School and received an associate of arts degree from Freed-Hardeman College in 1968. Lucy had also attended Harding College and Paducah Community College. Her career was spent as a medical assistant at Skin Allergy Cancer Clinic, Grogan and Jones, and Urology Group of Paducah until her retirement in 2012. In addition, she was a longtime and devoted member of Lone Oak Church of Christ.
Surviving are her brother, Tom (Emily) Lawrence of Louisville, KY; and nieces, Elizabeth (David) Vitale of Cincinnati, OH and Margaret Lawrence of Louisville, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Harold Lawrence, Jr.
A memorial service will be held Thursday evening at 6pm at Lone Oak Church of Christ with Jamey Boone and Les Sternburg officiating. Visitation will begin at 5pm Thursday at the church.
Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
