Agnes Melvina Darnell, 84, of Paducah, died Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Melvina was born in Paducah on December 22, 1932 to Charlie and Ruth Duncan Mitts. She retired from the Southside Kroger. Melvina enjoyed crafting, especially tole painting with her daughter.
She is survived by her children, Joanne (Russell) Egner of Reidland; Sherry (Bobby) Howard of Calvert City, and Steve (Jan) Darnell of Knoxville, TN; brother, W.M. Mitts of the Highpoint Community; grandchildren, Melanie Egner, Ben Egner, Tony Darnell, Mindy (Mike) Houlihan, and Crystal Payne; great-grandchildren, Brogan and Macy Egner, Thomas and Peyton Houlihan, Taegan Patterson and Trace Ashford.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Jimmy Darnell; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Wednesday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah. Burial will follow at Oakland Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
