Rebekah Sue Word, of Paducah, KY, passed away at 3:35 pm Friday, June 16, 2017 at her home.
Becky was born in Oak Ridge, TN, to Joe and Mary White. She was of the Baptist faith and had an enduring love for her children. She was an avid reader, loved animals, and found great joy in caring for her cats.
Ms. Word is survived by her daughters, Kristi Cecil and husband Chad, of Paducah, Kim Yancy and husband Kevin, of Cordova, TN; her son Joe and wife Brandy, of Paducah; her grandchildren, Sarah and Amanda Rice, Kayla and Ashley Word, Kristin and Zack Yancy.
Ms. Word was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Ralph White and Mary Louise Jenkins White; and her brother.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah. Pastor Nathan Williams will officiate.
A memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 pm Sunday.
