Deborah Kay Edwards Pearce, 63, of Paducah, died Friday, June 23, 2017 at Lourdes Hospital.
Deborah was born on June 6, 1954 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Arthur and Shirley Grimmett Edwards. She retired from Farley Elementary School as a Second Grade Teacher. Deborah received her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University and Master’s Degree and Rank I from Murray State University. She was an avid reader and doting grandmother, known as “Grammie” by her four grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband of forty-three years, Rodney Samuel Pearce; daughters, Laura Leigh Lovelace-Pearce (Caroline Lovelace-Pearce) of Charlotte, N.C. and Anna Vanderburg (Bo) of Paducah, KY; grandchildren, Jack and Marvin Lovelace-Pearce and Samuel and Benjamin Vanderburg; siblings, Duane Edwards (Cindy), Mike Edwards (Jeannie), Rhonda Edwards, and Jeff Edwards all of Ypsilanti, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation will be held Monday, June 26, 2017 from 4-6pm at Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
