Mr. Leo Glenn Ealy, age 89 of Benton, KY passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016, at his home.
Born Thursday, May 6, 1926 in Grand Rapids, MI, he was the son of the late Clayton Ealy and the late Iva (Strong) Ealy. He was a retired Postmaster for the United States Postal Service. He served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. Mr. Ealy was a member of the Kiwanis International and a member of the VFW. He was a member of Hardin Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife Patricia (Sawosko) Ealy of Benton, KY, two sons, Tim Ealy of Stanton, MI and Jim Brechting of Hopkins, MI, four daughters, Annette Snow Ealy of UT, Dawn Wilson of Stanton, MI, Patricia Lafferty of Shelbyville, KY and Jacquelyn Anderson of Taylorsville, KY, one sister, Verna Beth Rood; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hardin Church of Christ, Hardin, KY. Chris Lyden officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow the service in the Union Hill Cemetery, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
