Dottie Childs Smith, 60, of Smithland passed away at 9:40 A.M. on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at her residence.
Dottie was a member of Heartland Worship Center. She enjoyed working in the church nursery. She loved to sew, knit and travel.
Dottie is survived by her husband of 38 years, Michael Smith; two sons, Wesley Smith and wife Rebecca of Charleston, SC, and Logan Smith of Nashville, TN; one grandchild, Wyatt Smith; three siblings, Larry Childs of Paducah, KY, Nancy Dae of Kernersville, NC and Kenneth Childs of Paducah, KY; four nieces and four nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Dorothy Childs and one brother, Stevie Childs.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Lindsey Funeral Home with Bro. Fred Lowrance officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Ledbetter.
Friends may visit the family from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the funeral home.
