Mrs. Betty Sue Byers Williams, age 85, of Murray, Kentucky died on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Henry County Medical Center, Paris, Tennessee.
Mrs. Williams was born March 13, 1930 in Calloway County, Kentucky to the late Rex E. Byers & Sally Lorene Blakely Byers. She retired as a cook at Murray High School and was of the Baptist faith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Williams and her son, Donnie Williams.
She is survived by her daughters, Verna Williams Baker (Kerry), Murray, and Lisa Williams Hendricks (Clayton), Murray; sons, Dr. Vernon Mark Williams (Gloria), Lubbock, TX, Michael Burkeen (Peggy), Ft. Myers, FL, Roger Burkeen, Lapeer, MI, and Ricky Allen (Debbie), Griggsville, IL; four stepchildren; brother, Charles Byers, Lexington; fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 1:00pm Saturday at the Murray City Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Burkeen officiating. There will be no public visitation
