Mrs. Manon Wilson age 93, of Almo, Kentucky, died Sunday, January 17, 2016 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital surrounded by her family and friends.
Mrs. Wilson was born July 23, 1922 in Paducah, Kentucky to the late Thomas and Artie Underwood Brandon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dolphus Wilson, son, William Wilson, grandson, James Cooper Wilson, sister, Beauton Wilson. She was a homemaker, and member of the Bethel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Euple Thompson and husband John Paul of Boaz, Kentucky, Diane Wilson of Almo, Kentucky, Wanda Wilson of Murray, and Carolyn Woods and husband Dennis of Almo; son, Kent Wilson and special friend Tracy of Almo; daughter in law, Donna Wilson of Almo, sister in law, Opal Paschall of Murray; ten grandchildren, Jeff Thompson and wife Tracie of Boaz, Kentucky, Mark Herndon and wife Shan of Murray, Scott Thompson of Nashville, Tennessee, Sherrie Ferguson of Murray, Lisa Fuqua and husband Todd of Almo, Tony Knight and wife Aleshia of Murray, Angela Stalls and husband Monte of Almo, Ladon Wilson of Almo, McKaylon and Casey Wilson both of Almo; also eleven great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren survive.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Bro. Sam Chambers and Rev. Robert McKinney will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
