Dale Garner, age 64, of Paducah passed away at 7:28 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Lourdes Hospital. Dale was a native of Hodgenville, KY. He was a 1971 graduate of Southern High School in Louisville, KY and a 1975 graduate of Western Kentucky University. He was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church. He worked as manager of Anthony Barnes Lumber Company for 34 years until its closing. He was currently employed by TASK Management Service, LLC. He was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan and loved playing golf. He spent many years traveling the United States with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Sharon Sisk Garner; two sons, Bryan (Regina) Garner, Nashville, TN and Eric (Lauren) Garner of Nashville, TN; two sisters, Gail (Max) Hester, Stanford, KY and Linda (Bob) Hollifield, Louisville, KY ; two grandsons, Harrison Garner and Finlee Hivner and expected granddaughter Millie Garner to arrive in March 2018; two sisters-in-law, Donna (Wayne) Rushing and Nancy (Allen) Harton both of Paducah, KY. He had six nieces and nephews; Todd Rushing, LeAnne Garland, Jennifer Bradley, Amanda Sturm, Kyle Hester and Josh Hollifield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Garner and Margaret Helen Rodgers Garner.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Max Hester and Dr. Dan Summerlin officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
