Wilson, Celesta

Services for Celesta Peal Branson Wilson, 83 of Paducah, formerly of Between the Rivers, will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, March, 5, 2016 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. The Rev. Gregory Waldrop, Rev. Sara Tate and her son Rev. Keith Branson will officiate.  Interment services will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, March, 5, 2016 in Paradise Cemetery, Land-Between-the-Lakes, in Lyon County.

Mrs. Wilson died at 4:03 pm on Tuesday, March, 1, 2016 at NHC Place Cool Springs in Franklin TN.

She was a member of Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church and Fellowship Sunday School Class. Mrs. Wilson retired from South Central Bell Telephone Company and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. In the mid 1970’s she was president of the Telephone Pioneers Council of active members. After her retirement she served as president of the Life Member Club of retirees. Mrs. Wilson was a Kentucky Colonel and a Duchess of Paducah. She was a graduate of Lyon County High School,Kuttawa, Kentucky and attended Paducah Junior College, Paducah Community College and West Kentucky Community & Technical College all in Paducah. Mrs. Wilson was a woman of many interests and left a lasting legacy, in the form of a 365 page pictorial autobiography, to her family and friends.This book documented her life from birth to age 81 years and included stories and pictures of her many travels.

Surviving are her son, Keith Branson and wife Rona of Franklin, TN.; two brothers, Stanley Peal of Kevil and Lindel Peal and wife Emma of Calvert City; one sister, Mary Forsythe and husband Donald of Lake City; four grandchildren, Matthew Branson and his special friend Allison Fox of Tampa, Fl.; Joanna Branson Lampa and her husband Nate of Nashville, TN; Emily Branson Smallbone and husband Josh of Nashville, TN.and Mitchell Branson and wife Rebekah of Columbia, TN.; one great granddaughter, Marley Branson of Columbia,TN; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James “Jim” and Ora Wilson of Louisville; three step children, several step-grandchildren and step-great grand-children and nine nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edwin “Ed” Branson; her second husband, Rob Wilson; a son, Kevin Branson; a daughter-in-law, Lori Boatwright Branson Smith; her dear friend Jim Grisham; and infant niece, Donna Elizabeth Forsythe and parents L. B. "Birt" Peal and Ida Watkins Peal.

Visitation will be from 9:30
am  until 11:00 am on Saturday, March, 5, 2015 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home ofPaducah. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
