Mrs. Linda Jean Hughes, age 66, of Murray, Kentucky died Saturday, March 05, 2016 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center in Paducah, Kentucky.
Mrs. Hughes was born December 17, 1949 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to the late Donald “Buck” Morse and Eleanor Zeletta Herzell Morse. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Carey.
Mrs. Hughes was a retired seamstress for Zax’s, homemaker, and before moving to Murray, from Paris, Tennessee, she worked at Uncle Lee’s, and Mohon Campbell-Rhea. She attended the Murray Family Church.
Survivors include her husband, Hilton C. Hughes Jr. of Murray, Kentucky, they married June 6, 1987 in Paris, Tennessee; two daughters, Sheila Marie Pate Winchester and husband Ricky of Paris, Tennessee, Suzette Lynn Harris and husband Jason of Cleveland, Tennessee; step daughter, Jennifer Lynn Henderson and husband Chris of Howell, Michigan; step son, Robert H. Hughes and wife Rebecca Renee of Marshall, Illinois; three sisters, Betty Gladsen of Murray, Ruth Pletcher and husband Don of Worland, Wyoming, Nancy Kaler and husband Glenn of Shelbyville, Kentucky; also twelve grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Murray City Cemetery, Rev. Pamela E. Hughes will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. till 3:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
