Weitlauf, Rose Marie

Rose Marie Weitlauf, age 90, of Paducah, KY, passed away at 2:55 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  Mrs. Weitlauf was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, she was a retired Nurse’s Aide from Lourdes Hospital, a member of the Legion of Mary and Army of Mary, the Daughters of Isabella where she was a Regent and a past State Regent, a member of the Lourdes Auxiliary and volunteer with St. Vincent de Paul and was a Duchess of Paducah.

 

Mrs. Weitlauf is survived by her husband of 67 years, Thomas Weitlauf; two daughters, Mary Virginia Weitlauf of Lexington, KY and Rita A. Gerteisen and husband Michael of Owensboro, KY; daughter-in-law, Belinda Glass Weitlauf of Gilbertsville, KY; three sons, Charles Henry Weitlauf and wife Sharon of Indianapolis, IN, Joseph Raymond Weitlauf and wife Paula of Paducah, KY and Michael Anthony Weitlauf and wife Ann of Lexington, KY; eleven grandchildren, Jea Weitlauf and wife Kim, Sarah Weitlauf, John Thomas Weitlauf and wife Brianna, Phillip Weitlauf, Taylor Weitlauf, Kristen Vincent and husband Jared, Hannah Gerteisen, Emilie Weitlauf, Patrick Weitlauf, Katherine Weitlauf and Christopher James Weitlauf; great grandson, Keegan Weitlauf; great great grandson, Kerian Scott Weitlauf; several nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Benita Smith, Eleanor Schmitt and Mary Catherine Powell; two brothers, Carl Schmitt and Norbert A. Schmitt.  Her parents were Charles James Schmitt and Mary Teresa Poat Schmitt.

 

A funeral mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2015 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Charles officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.  Rosary and prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m.
