Mary Kennedy Smalley, 81, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 11:10 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2016 at Oakview Nursing Center. Mary was a native of Trigg County, Kentucky. She was a long-time member of the Arcadia United Methodist Church before falling ill. Mary was on the Board of Directors of the Alben W. Barkley Museum and loved her family long and well.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Bill Smalley of Paducah, Kentucky; son, Michael R. Smalley and wife Janie of Paducah, Kentucky; daughter, Linda Smalley Bogert and husband John of Tullahoma, Tennessee; grandsons, Christopher Smalley of Nashville, Tennessee and Andrew Bogert of Tullahoma, Tennessee; granddaughter, Rachel Bogert of Tullahoma, Tennessee; siblings, Marie Francis and husband Rex of Cadiz, Kentucky, Velva Yeomans of Paducah, Kentucky, Norma Cotton of Lamasco, Kentucky, Faye Fox and husband Billy of Cadiz, Kentucky and Buddy Kennedy of Grand Rivers, Kentucky and several nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, John Albert Kennedy and Harvie Mitchell Kennedy; two brothers, Raymond Kennedy and Albert Kennedy.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2016 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Chaplain Julie McClure officiating. Burial will follow in the Brooks Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
