CW “Sonny” Goldsmith, age 75, of Benton, formerly of Carlisle County, passed away at his residence on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 8:10 p.m.
He was a member of the Assembly Of God Church of Clinton and the American Legion Post 26 of Mayfield. He owned a home inprovement business and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Campaign earning four bronze service stars.
He is survived by his fiance, Hontas Fields of Benton, his daughter, Theresa Spillman and husband, Dwayne of Milburn; his son, Glynn Goldsmith and wife, Amy of Milburn; his sisters, Gay Ashley of Bardwell, Jane Turner of Arlington, and Jo Redford of Benton; his brother, Lewis Goldsmith of Milburn.; grandchildren, Chris Davis, Jon Derek Goldsmith, Allee Goldsmith, and Brandy Spillman; great grandchild, Caroline Goldsmith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester E. and Mary Hogancamp Goldsmith; and sister, Rita Limbaugh.
There will be a memorial visitation held at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington on Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
