Creighton Dodge Floyd, 27, of Lawrence, KS, formerly of Paducah, died Sunday, December 27, 2015 at his home.
Creighton was born in Paducah on May 10, 1988. He was a 2006 graduate of Heath High School where he played soccer and football. After high school, Creighton enlisted in the United States Navy where he served a tour in Iraq. After being discharged, Creighton followed his passion for cooking, working as a chef in various cities. He also enjoyed photography and golf.
He is survived by his parents, mother, Susan Floyd and her partner Don Stacy; father, John Floyd and wife Gina; sisters, Johnna Key and her husband Jon, and Chanyng Floyd; grandparents, Alice “Peg” Brown and Elwood and Alice Colley; aunts and uncles, Jim and Brenda Brown, Jeff and Kay Brown, Lisa and Tony Chapman, Brenda Perdew, and Hal and Elizabeth Bogard; special aunt, Jane Driver; and cousins, Brandon Chapman, Jamey and Jordan Brown and their child Milly, Amanda and Michael Dodd and children Lucy and Grant, Mark and Dayna Brown and children Audrey, Hayden, and Hudson, Jeff and Donna Beach and children Leah and Aaron, Ellie and John MacLoad and children Juliet and Miles, and Nancy Bogard.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Richard “Dick” Brown, John F. Floyd, Sr. and Eleanor “Lee” Floyd, and Leon and Ruth Dodge; uncle Kermit Perdew; and cousin Scott Brown.
Memorial services will be held at noon on Saturday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Larry Walker officiating. Visitation will begin at 10am Saturday.
