Mrs. Mildred Revel Horn, age 92, of Murray, Kentucky died at 2:40am Monday, July 24, 2017 at the home of her daughter in Springfield, Tennessee.
Mrs. Horn was born March 5, 1925 to the late Hulie Revel and Nona Joyner Revel. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Winstead Horn. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Murray, Kentucky, nursery director for over 50 years, and served as an office volunteer for several years. She retired from Murray State University as an Administrative Assistant.
She is survived by her two daughters, Carol Hite, Springfield, TN, and Gail Wooster, Arlington, TX; one son, Ken Horn, Fairfield, CA; two sisters, Dorothy Clendenin, Paris, TN, and Virginia Aden, Atlanta, GA; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 10:00am Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Boyd Smith officiating. A graveside service will be at 1:30pm Thursday at the Alamo Baptist Church Cemetery, Rives, Tennessee. Friends may visit the family from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Wednesday at the Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home and after 9:00am Thursday at the First Baptist Church.
